The principles that guide how we research, write and publish the biographies on NVMA.

NVMA publishes long-form biographies of notable figures across film, sport, music and public life. This policy sets out the standards we hold ourselves to so that readers know what to expect from our work.
Accuracy and sourcing
We aim to get the facts right. Our profiles are built from widely reported and reputable public information, and we take care to distinguish established fact from interpretation. Where details are disputed or uncertain, we say so rather than presenting guesswork as truth.
Fairness and balance
We write about complex people with nuance. That means acknowledging flaws alongside achievements and giving readers the context they need to form their own view. We do not set out to flatter our subjects, nor to diminish them.
Originality
Every biography we publish is written in our own words. We do not copy text from other publications, and we do not reproduce copyrighted material. Our goal is to tell each story clearly and freshly, in a voice that is our own.
Images and copyright
We use photographs that are in the public domain or made available under suitable licences, and we credit their source. If you believe an image has been used in error, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
Corrections
We welcome corrections. If you spot an error in any of our articles, let us know and we will check it and, where needed, update the piece. Significant corrections will be noted on the article.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are our own. Coverage is chosen on the basis of reader interest and the merit of a story, not in exchange for payment or favour.
